Each brow service takes 3-3.5 hours long. This is determined by your natural hair growth, and everyone’s individual needs. Please allow this time period to ensure the procedure is not rushed.
At Brow Defined, we use medical grade anesthetic before & during the procedure. This helps reduce pain during the service to ensure you’re comfortable.
Permanent makeup is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as those with certain medical conditions. We recommend that you consult with your doctor before getting permanent makeup.
During the first 2-3 days the brow area will look dark, and have a more defined shape. This is completely normal! Your skin will begin to heal, and go to a sunburn phase. The area treated will begin to scab and flakes will fall off. The color will fade by 40-60%. Once again, completely normal! Any pigment loss will be fixed during the Touch-up session. This is when we can alter the shape and color of the brows.
The hair follicle will not be damaged during the brow procedure. At Brow Defined, we ensure extreme accuracy to avoid damage to the skin, and avoid scarring.
Each individual's healing will be unique, as everybody's bodies react differently to PMU services. Within 2-3 hours redness and swelling will go down, and you can continue with regular daily activities. Typically 7-10 days is required for the brow area to fully begin to heal.
This will vary between each individual depending on lifestyle, skin type, etc.. (i.e.; tanning, exercising) as this could affect your retention. After the first service, and the recommended touch up within 5-8 weeks - You would look at doing the service again within 2-3 years. Taking care of your skin, and wearing sunscreen on the treated area will help to maintain pigment retention.
